Just Checking In

Hello. I don't have too much to say about smoking or quitting right at the moment. I did want to say that after I stopped the Chantix and the Avelox, I started feeling better almost right away. It is nice being back to my normal self.

I have been busy with work and with my sons. Just normal life going on. I am really starting to get spring fever. I know I need to quit while it is still cold because I enjoy smoking more when it is nice and warm out.

Thank you Robert Drysdale for your great posts! Welcome to our little group. I hope you will continue to provide us with your good information.

I am working on setting a quit date. Gee, that sure makes it sound like a big deal, huh? There really is no great project involved with setting the date, I just have to pick one and do it. I have not checked the almanac for good dates to quit in March, I think I will do that now. I hope I did not already miss them.

Congratulations to everyone out there that has already quit smoking. That includes everyone that writes here and also all of our commenters that have quit. I am really learning a lot from all of you and your experiences. Thank you for sharing.

Hey - where ya been? Funny, I don't tend to notice how much this blog helps me until there's nothing going on here for a while...

Update about my party thing last Saturday - I got lured outside to smoke a clove with a friend (after a few too may drinks)

Barely inhaled any of it - it hurt too much! Smoked it more like a cigar... And still felt so sick after that I had to park myself on a couch in a quiet room for about half an hour afterward.

Not gonna be trying that again any time soon - drunk or not!

Nicotine makes the body crave for more makes smokers smoke more. When smokers quit smoking there will be lack of nicotine that lead to withdrawal symptoms. Quitting smoking reduces the risk of lung cancers, heart attack, stroke and chronic lung disease.

I tried about a million ways to quit smoking but none of them worked. My problem isn't so much the nicotine as the action and habit of smoking (I'm sure the nicotine doesn't help)I stopped smoking cigarettes however I still kind of cheat. I have one of those electronic cigarettes and it did make the difference for quitting tobacco but now I'm addicted to it! I guess no form of quit support

Yeah right addiction is always difficult to cope up..Nicotine is really bad addiction today..everyone is under his influence and also it's hard to break it if one want to do so..people takes help of various medications, quit smoking aids and many available things but what's necessary is one's willingness to quit it..

My dentist (Tega Cay area) has told me that I should quit smoking because it's affecting my teeth. It's ruining the color. I'm losing that perfect smile. So I had my teeth undergo whitening by that same dentist. Rock Hill is where I actually live. I'm living with my parents, and they're saying that the smoke is really annoying. I've read about the other effects of smoking, so I think I'd better stop because it's scary, really.

If you're looking to quit smoking check out smoke assist e-cigarettes. I've quit smoking for 3 days now and i'm relying on an e-cigarette someone gave me at the gym which i puff on every once in a blue moon when i'm about to have a panic attack and it helps tremendously.

I've been asleep for most of the day because I have shingles, but when I first quit smoking, i had much more energy in general. It was weird looking at a cigarette knowing that I'd never touch one again. because the people around me were all the same

I never thought hypnosis can help quit smoking. This article really gave new information that I never learned before. I learned that hypnosis can help control his or her urge to smoke cigarettes. One of the greatest benefits of hypnosis is good health. It allows the person to stop his or her vices and change them into a new person. I also realized that hypnosis can help change the behavior of a person. It allows you to become a better person than before. I also read an article
Brisbane CBD Hypnotherapy health which gave me an information that the hypnosis may need multiple sessions to make it effective.

I was just thinking about how anti-smoking campaigns are always going via the "soft" approach. vape pens to quit You know, how it's like an addiction and there are hotlines, support groups and nicotine patches to help smokers quit.
